Farewell, Laura!
Earlier this month, we hosted a heavy-hearted retirement party for Laura Miller. Laura is the founder of our contract & temp staffing division and recently celebrated her 38th anniversary as a member of the PCG family. While her retirement was part of a long-range plan due to her feeling called to move on, it doesn’t make it any easier for us to see her go. It was such a joy to see so many legacy PCG faces mingling with the next generation of our organization that remains committed to transforming lives through career services for the glory of God.
“From Laura’s first placement 38 years ago to the contractor she placed last week, Laura’s impact on our organization, community, and countless lives can’t be quantified. We look forward to carrying on her legacy of treating people like people, rather than like a number,” said Jim Schneider, President of PCG. “Over the last few months, I’ve been so grateful Laura has been vested in Lori Duke learning about this business in order to facilitate first-rate continuity for our clients and contractors.”
Reflecting on her first couple of months with the firm, Lori added “I love what I do! It’s an honor to have the opportunity to connect others with work that they enjoy so that they are able to feel the same sense of purpose that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing since I joined the PCG Family. Each new day has brought sweet surprises, and I look forward to what’s around the corner!”
Thank you, Laura, our permanent PCG family member and congratulations to Lori on taking the helm of this incredible division of PCG!
