Part-Time Accounting Consultant

(Looking for 15 – 25 hours per week)

$65 to $80/hour (1099 contractor)

Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Accounting; highly prefer CPA

Must have a strong Auditing background: to review an audit package before sending to outside Auditors.

Strong data analysis skills; Power BI very helpful; deal with large data sets

Advanced Excel skills and problem solving skills.

Significant communication skills and the realization that they have to keep Managing Partner in the loop with all client issues even though they are a client facing representative.

Possible Job Duties include:

• Ability to work with a brand-new client to start a job and learn/document processes and procedures to suggest improvements. Improvements could be a change in process or a restructure to the process, automation software or new accounting software. 
• Review the month close process and produce monthly financial statements for clients in various industries, non-profits, transportation, medical, retail, construction, etc.
• Review and lead the audit preparation process on behalf of our clients and be the liaison with the 3rd party auditors. Assist with implementing new standards at the clients.
• Prepare GAAP basis financial statements.
• Review the year end financial statement preparation and all support to provide to 3rd party tax preparers.
• Manage the client expectations and keep the project on track and meeting deadlines.
• Train client’s staff with needed and work at their level and their pace and adjust our methodology to meet them if necessary.
• Must have high emotional intelligence: Ability to understand and observe company culture and use that when posing recommendations.
