Our longstanding, locally-held South Baton Rouge client is seeking a growth focused Human Resource Manager as part of a retirement succession plan. Our firm has placed multiple candidates within different areas of this organization, and we know them very well. This organization has over 100 employees with a long-range plan to grow headcount to 150. Due to the planned retirement, there will be an opportunity to be trained & mentored by the incumbent HR Manager.

Must be growth-focused, have strong attention to details, and be comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders in a industrial/construction environment.

Must be able to prioritize tasks based on deadlines and departmental needs while also focusing on gaining efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for day-to-day Human Resource activities including onboarding, updating the employee handbook, managing the performance evaluation process.

Responsible for processing weekly payroll.

Responsible for recruitment and representing the organization at job fairs.

 

Qualifications:

Must have minimum 3 years of experience.

Must have experience in a hands-on HR department as a self-directed professional.

Must have a “get it done” mindset.

 

Work Hours and Location: Position is on-site full-time 8:00 – 4:30 with some scheduling flexibility
