Project Manager
The Personal Consulting Group is looking for a Project Manager for a heavy civil contractor who partners with clients across Greater New Orleans on heavy civil work—pile driving, underground utilities, demolition, marine docks, and emergency response—that keeps communities and industry moving. As Project Manager you own delivery from award through closeout, turning complex scopes into on-time, on-budget, safe results while living our standard of legal, moral, honest, and ethical conduct on every job.
Performance Objectives
- Deliver 100% of assigned projects on or under budget and within contracted schedule, recovering at least 90% of potential change-order value through documented client communication.
- Drive zero recordable incidents and 100% subcontractor compliance with company safety protocols on every site you manage.
- Produce weekly look-aheads, cost forecasts, and as-built documentation that give leadership and clients a clear, real-time picture of progress and risk.
- Coordinate field crews, equipment, and specialty subcontractors so critical-path activities (pile driving, utility installation, marine work) never idle for lack of resources.
- Close projects with complete punch-list, lien waivers, and client sign-off within 30 days of substantial completion, generating repeat-business referrals.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven track record managing heavy-civil or marine construction projects of similar scale and complexity, with documented on-time, on-budget outcomes.
- Ability to read plans, write RFIs, and negotiate change orders
- Hands-on experience coordinating pile driving, underground utilities, demolition, or emergency-response work in Louisiana or comparable Gulf environments.
- Strong field presence and communication skills that keep crews, clients, and inspectors aligned without bureaucracy.
- Commitment to the highest legal, moral, and ethical standards in all business dealings.
Role Selling Points
- Direct impact on high-visibility infrastructure that serves New Orleans industry and communities.
- Variety of work—pile driving, marine repair, emergency response—rather than repetitive building construction.
- Opportunity to grow with a company that has expanded steadily since the late 1990s by putting clients first.
